About the Reserve

Rewild Arabia

Prince Mohammed bin Salman Royal Reserve is home to dramatic landscapes, exceptional plant and animal biodiversity, and an 85,000-year-old rich cultural heritage. Covering 1% of Saudi Arabia’s terrestrial area and 1.8% of its marine area, it is home to over 50% of the Kingdom’s marine and terrestrial species.

We are proudly leading one of the most ambitious rewilding initiatives in the Middle East, reintroducing endangered species and restoring 24,500 km² of natural beauty across 15 distinct ecosystems – from the Hijaz mountains to the Red Sea.

About Us

PROTECTING WITH DEDICATION

185 men and women who call the Reserve home make up our ranger team. These conservation ambassadors patrol the Reserve’s marine and terrestrial area 365 days a year, protecting our natural and cultural heritage and playing a pivotal role in our restoration program. Amongst them is the first female ranger corps in the Middle East, founded in 2021 and today making up one-third of our ranger team.
